Temporarily relieves symptoms associated with the common cold, flu, and upper respiratory allergies including headache, sore throat, minor aches and pains, fever, cough, chest congestion, and nasal congestion.
Acetaminophen inhibits prostaglandin production to reduce pain and fever. Dextromethorphan suppresses the cough reflex in the brain. Guaifenesin thins and loosens mucus in the airways to make coughs more productive. Phenylephrine constricts blood vessels in the nasal passages to reduce swelling and congestion.
Do not exceed recommended dose or use with other acetaminophen-containing products. Consult a doctor before use if you have heart disease, high blood pressure, thyroid problems, diabetes, glaucoma, or breathing conditions. Avoid alcohol. Not recommended for persistent coughs or if taking MAO inhibitors. Stop use and contact a doctor if symptoms worsen, new symptoms appear, or fever persists more than 3 days.
