This medication is used to treat mild to moderate pain such as headaches, toothaches, muscle aches, and menstrual cramps, as well as fever reduction. It may also be prescribed for post-operative pain or other conditions requiring analgesia where single-agent therapy is inadequate.

Acetaminophen works primarily in the central nervous system to block pain signals and affect the body's temperature regulation. Dipyrone is a non-opioid analgesic with additional antipyretic and antispasmodic properties that inhibits prostaglandin synthesis and may involve central and peripheral mechanisms. Together, these agents provide complementary analgesic effects.

This combination should not be used by individuals with hypersensitivity to either component or dipyrone-related drugs. Dipyrone has been withdrawn from use in several countries due to risk of agranulocytosis (a serious blood disorder). Patients should avoid alcohol during treatment and should not exceed recommended doses. Medical supervision is required, particularly for patients with liver, kidney, or blood disorders.
