Temporary relief of nasal and sinus congestion, sneezing, runny nose, itchy nose and throat, watery eyes, headache, minor aches and pains, and fever associated with common cold, influenza, or allergic rhinitis.
Acetaminophen inhibits prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system to reduce pain and fever. Pseudoephedrine is a sympathomimetic that causes vasoconstriction in the nasal mucosa, reducing swelling and congestion. Triprolidine is a first-generation antihistamine that blocks H1 receptors, preventing histamine-mediated allergic symptoms like sneezing and rhinorrhea.
Should not be combined with other products containing acetaminophen to avoid overdose. Contraindicated in patients taking MAO inhibitors and should be used with caution in those with hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, thyroid disorders, or glaucoma. May cause drowsiness; avoid alcohol and operating machinery until knowing how the medication affects you. Do not exceed recommended doses or use for more than 7 days unless directed by a physician.
