Prevention and treatment of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides spp.), tick infestations (ixodid ticks), heartworm disease (Dirofilaria immitis), and treatment of intestinal nematode infections including roundworms (Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina) and hookworms (Ancylostoma caninum, Uncinaria stenocephala).

Afoxolaner is an isoxazoline that blocks ligand-gated chloride channels in insect and arachnid nervous systems, causing hyperexcitation and death of fleas and ticks. Moxidectin is a macrocyclic lactone that binds to glutamate-gated chloride channels in parasites, opening them and causing paralysis and death of nematode larvae. Pyrantel is a cholinergic agonist that causes spastic paralysis of susceptible intestinal worms by depolarizing their neuromuscular junctions.

For veterinary use only in dogs. Not for use in cats or other species. Should be given with food for optimal absorption. Heartworm testing is recommended before initiating therapy in endemic areas. Use with caution in puppies under 8 weeks or dogs weighing less than 2 kg. Potential side effects include vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, and in rare cases, neurologic effects. Afoxolaner belongs to the isoxazoline class which has been associated with rare neurologic adverse reactions. This medication does not protect against Dipylidium caninum or Echinococcus species.
