Used to treat acute and chronic respiratory infections including acute bronchitis, pneumonia, exacerbations of chronic bronchitis, and sinusitis when caused by susceptible bacteria and accompanied by productive cough or excessive mucus.

Amoxicillin inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis to kill susceptible bacteria, while Ambroxol breaks down the structure of thick mucus (mucolytic action), reducing its viscosity and helping to clear it from the airways more easily.

Must be taken for the full prescribed duration even if symptoms improve. Contraindicated in patients with penicillin allergy. Common side effects include gastrointestinal disturbances. Should not be used for viral infections. Effectiveness depends on bacterial susceptibility in the specific infection.
