Amlodipine / Indapamide / Telmisartan
This combination medication contains three active ingredients that work together to lower blood pressure through different mechanisms. It is prescribed when single-agent therapy is insufficient to control hypertension. The three components target blood pressure regulation via blood vessel relaxation, fluid removal, and blocking angiotensin receptors.
Triple-combination antihypertensive medication for patients requiring multiple mechanisms to control high blood pressure.

Treatment of essential hypertension in patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with dual therapy or who may benefit from triple-combination treatment. This medication is typically reserved for more difficult-to-control cases of high blood pressure.
Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that relaxes blood vessel walls; Indapamide is a thiazide-like diuretic that reduces fluid volume by increasing urinary excretion of sodium and water; Telmisartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker that prevents blood vessel constriction by blocking angiotensin II receptors. Together, they provide complementary blood pressure-lowering effects through different pathways.
May cause dizziness or orthostatic hypotension, especially when starting therapy. Patients should rise slowly from sitting or lying positions. Regular monitoring of blood pressure, electrolytes, and kidney function is recommended. Avoid potassium supplements and NSAIDs unless directed by a physician. Contraindicated in pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters. Common side effects may include peripheral edema, electrolyte imbalances, and headache.
