Anti-Inhibitor Coagulant Complex
Anti-Inhibitor Coagulant Complex (FEIBA) is a bypassing agent used to treat and prevent bleeding in hemophilia A or B patients who have developed inhibitors (neutralizing antibodies) against factor VIII or IX replacement therapy. It contains a combination of activated and non-activated clotting factors that work around these inhibitors to promote blood coagulation.
A hemostatic agent for hemophilia patients with inhibitor antibodies that bypasses the need for specific clotting factors.

Mechanism of action
How the drug works to achieve hemostasis
Treatment and prevention of bleeding in patients with hemophilia A or B who have developed inhibitors to factor VIII or IX. May also be used for acquired hemophilia and other bleeding disorders with inhibitor presence.
Contains multiple coagulation factors (mainly non-activated factors II, IX, X and activated factor VII) that interact with plasma clotting factors and platelets to generate thrombin, bypassing the need for factors VIII or IX that are inhibited.
Regular monitoring for thrombotic events is required. Not interchangeable with other hemophilia products. Treatment should be supervised by a hematologist. May cause allergic reactions including anaphylaxis. Efficacy may vary between patients.
