Safety and regulatory information

Primarily used for rheumatoid arthritis and other inflammatory conditions involving pain and swelling of joints. May also be used for other acute inflammatory disorders.

Like other NSAIDs in the M01 class, it works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, reducing the production of prostaglandins that cause inflammation, pain, and fever.

Common side effects include gastrointestinal disturbances. Use with caution in patients with a history of ulcers, kidney problems, or heart conditions. Avoid in late pregnancy. Not recommended for children.
