Treatment of tension headaches, musculoskeletal pain, and other painful conditions associated with anxiety, tension, or muscle spasms. May also be used for mild to moderate pain where calming effects are beneficial.

Aspirin inhibits cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, reducing prostaglandin synthesis to decrease pain, inflammation, and fever. Meprobamate acts on GABA-A receptors in the central nervous system, producing anxiolytic and muscle relaxant effects that help relieve tension and anxiety.

Meprobamate carries risks of dependence, tolerance, and withdrawal with prolonged use. The combination may cause significant drowsiness and should be used with caution when operating machinery or consuming alcohol. Aspirin component increases bleeding risk and may cause gastrointestinal irritation or ulcers. This medication has largely fallen out of common use due to safety concerns with meprobamate and the availability of safer alternatives. Should not be used in patients with bleeding disorders, pregnancy, or those taking blood thinners.
