Treatment and prevention of bacterial infection in minor skin wounds including cuts, scrapes, burns, and abrasions. It is typically used for superficial skin injuries where there is risk of bacterial contamination.
Bacitracin inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, effective primarily against gram-positive bacteria. Polymyxin B disrupts bacterial cell membranes, effective primarily against gram-negative bacteria. Lidocaine provides local anesthetic relief by blocking sodium channels in nerve endings, reducing pain at the application site.
For topical use only on intact skin—do not apply to large areas, deep wounds, or severe burns. Avoid use near eyes, mouth, or on animal bites. Discontinue use if rash, irritation, or allergic reaction occurs. Consult a healthcare provider if the wound does not improve within 7 days or worsens.
