Temporarily relieves minor mouth and throat pain associated with sore throat, canker sores, minor irritation, or discomfort from dental procedures. Often found in lozenge, spray, or liquid rinse formulations.

Benzocaine blocks sodium channels on nerve endings, preventing the generation and transmission of pain signals. Menthol activates cold-sensitive receptors, creating a cooling sensation that distracts from pain. Glycerin acts as a demulcent, coating and soothing irritated mucous membranes.

For topical/oral use only. Do not exceed recommended dose. Not recommended for children under 2 years old without medical advice. Rare but serious side effects (methemoglobinemia) have been reported with benzocaine use. Discontinue use and seek medical attention if symptoms worsen or persist beyond 7 days. Avoid eating or drinking while mouth is numb to prevent choking.
