Typically used for various solid tumors including colorectal cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, renal cell carcinoma, ovarian cancer, cervical cancer, and glioblastoma. May also be used for certain eye conditions. Specific indications should be confirmed with prescribing information.

As an anti-VEGF agent, it binds to vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), preventing VEGF from interacting with its receptors on endothelial cells. This blocks the signaling cascade that promotes angiogenesis, effectively starving tumors of their blood supply and inhibiting further tumor growth and metastasis.

As a biosimilar, Bevacizumab-Tnjn is designed to be highly similar to the reference product with no clinically meaningful differences in safety, purity, or potency. It is administered intravenously. Common side effects include hypertension, proteinuria, bleeding, and impaired wound healing. Treatment should be supervised by oncologists experienced in anti-angiogenic therapy. Gastrointestinal perforation is a serious known risk.
