Treatment of productive cough, chest congestion, runny nose, sneezing, and other upper respiratory symptoms associated with allergies, the common cold, or respiratory tract infections. May be used when symptoms are severe enough to require opioid-level cough suppression.
Hydrocodone suppresses the cough reflex in the brain to reduce coughing frequency. Guaifenesin thins and loosens mucus in the airways, making it easier to clear. Brompheniramine blocks histamine receptors to reduce allergic symptoms like runny nose and sneezing.
Contains hydrocodone, an opioid with risk of dependence, sedation, and respiratory depression. Avoid alcohol and other CNS depressants. May cause drowsiness; do not drive until you know how it affects you. Not recommended for children under 18 years old. Use only as prescribed; misuse can lead to serious health complications including overdose and death.
