Long-term maintenance therapy for asthma in patients 6 years and older, and for COPD including chronic bronchitis and emphysema. Not intended for acute symptom relief.
Budesonide (corticosteroid) reduces airway inflammation and swelling, while Formoterol (long-acting beta-agonist) relaxes smooth muscles in the airways to improve breathing. The dual action provides both anti-inflammatory and bronchodilator effects.
Use regularly as prescribed for best results; do not stop abruptly without consulting a healthcare provider. Rinse mouth with water after each use to reduce risk of oral thrush. Keep rescue inhaler available for sudden symptoms. May increase risk of asthma-related hospitalization in some patients when used without inhaled corticosteroid.
