Prevention and treatment of osteoporosis, osteopenia, calcium/vitamin D/magnesium deficiencies, hypocalcemia, and support for bone health in postmenopausal women and older adults. May also be used in conditions requiring increased calcium intake such as pregnancy, lactation, or certain malabsorption syndromes.

Calcium citrate provides readily absorbable calcium for bone mineralization and neuromuscular function. Ergocalciferol (vitamin D2) promotes intestinal calcium absorption and supports bone remodeling. Magnesium oxide contributes to bone structure and helps regulate calcium and vitamin D metabolism. Together, they provide complementary support for skeletal health and mineral homeostasis.

Should be taken with food for optimal absorption. May interact with certain medications including bisphosphonates, tetracyclines, and fluoroquinolones. Patients with hypercalcemia, kidney stones, or sarcoidosis should avoid use. Calcium citrate may be taken without food, but full dose should not exceed 600mg elemental calcium at one time. Vitamin D toxicity can occur with excessive supplementation.
