Used for the diagnosis and treatment of allergic conditions caused by California black walnut and English walnut tree pollen, including allergic rhinitis (hay fever), allergic conjunctivitis, and allergic asthma triggered by walnut pollen exposure.
Contains purified walnut pollen allergens that, when administered in controlled doses during immunotherapy, help the immune system develop tolerance to the allergen, reducing allergic symptoms over time. For diagnostic use, it causes a localized skin reaction in sensitized individuals.
Should only be administered by healthcare professionals trained in allergen immunotherapy. Initial doses are very low and gradually increased. Patients must remain under observation for at least 30 minutes after each injection due to risk of anaphylaxis. Not suitable for patients with uncontrolled asthma or severe cardiovascular disease.
