Temporary relief of minor aches and pains associated with muscles and joints, including arthritis, simple backache, strains, sprains, and bruises. Also used for rheumatic pain and neuralgia.
These ingredients act as counter-irritants. When applied topically, they stimulate nerve endings in the skin, producing sensations of cooling (menthol) and warming (camphor and capsicum) that help override the perception of deeper pain. Capsaicin from capsicum extract may also deplete substance P in nerve endings, reducing pain signals.
For external use only—do not ingest or apply to broken, irritated, or damaged skin. Avoid contact with eyes, nose, and mucous membranes. Do not use with tight bandages or heating pads. Wash hands thoroughly after application. Discontinue use if excessive skin irritation, burning, or rash occurs. Consult a healthcare provider before use in children, if pregnant, or if symptoms persist beyond 7 days.
