Temporary relief of minor aches and pains associated with muscles and joints (strains, sprains, arthritis, backache), as well as minor itching from conditions like insect bites, eczema, or poison ivy. May also be used for chest congestion when inhaled.
Functions as a counter-irritant - camphor and eucalyptus oil produce a cooling sensation followed by warmth, while methyl salicylate provides mild analgesic effects. These sensations mask the perception of deeper pain and may increase blood flow to the affected area.
For external use only. Do not apply to broken or irritated skin, wounds, or mucous membranes. Avoid bandaging tightly or using heat (heating pads) after application as this increases absorption and risk of toxicity. Do not inhale deeply. Keep away from eyes, nose, and mouth. Not recommended for use in children under 12 without medical advice. Discontinue use if excessive skin irritation occurs.
