Temporary relief of sore throat pain, mouth irritation, and minor mouth pain including toothache, gum discomfort, and canker sores. Also used for temporary relief of pain from minor mouth infections or procedures.

Cepacol products typically contain benzocaine, a local anesthetic that works by blocking nerve signals in the affected area, creating a temporary numbing effect that helps reduce the sensation of pain and discomfort.

For oral use only; do not exceed recommended doses. Should not be used in children under 2 years old due to risk of methemoglobinemia. Avoid eating or drinking while mouth is numb. Discontinue use and consult a doctor if symptoms persist beyond 7 days, worsen, or occur with fever. Rare but serious blood disorder (methemoglobinemia) has been reported with benzocaine products.
