Used for parenteral nutrition in patients with functional gastrointestinal tracts who cannot, should not, or will not eat adequately by mouth or tube feeding. This includes post-surgical patients, those with malabsorption disorders, severe burns, or extended critical illness.
Delivers amino acids (5%) for protein synthesis and tissue repair, combined with concentrated dextrose (20%) as a calorie source. The solution provides essential nutrients directly into the bloodstream when oral or enteral nutrition is not feasible.
Must be administered intravenously under medical supervision. Requires regular monitoring of electrolytes, blood glucose, and fluid balance. Contraindicated in patients with severe renal or hepatic impairment, uncorrected electrolyte imbalances, or known hypersensitivity to any components.
