Coagulation Factor Ix (Recombinant), Glycopegylated
Coagulation Factor IX (Recombinant), Glycopegylated is an extended-half-life clotting factor replacement therapy used to treat and prevent bleeding in patients with hemophilia B (congenital factor IX deficiency). The glycopegylation modification allows for reduced dosing frequency compared to standard recombinant factor IX products, improving patient convenience and compliance.
A long-acting form of recombinant factor IX used to manage bleeding in hemophilia B patients.

Prevention and treatment of bleeding episodes in patients with hemophilia B (factor IX deficiency), including on-demand treatment, surgical bleeding management, and routine prophylaxis to prevent spontaneous bleeding.
Replaces deficient or missing clotting factor IX, a critical component of the intrinsic coagulation pathway, enabling the blood to clot normally and stop bleeding. The glycopegylation extends the circulating half-life of the factor, providing prolonged therapeutic effect.
Administered via intravenous injection. Patients may develop inhibitors (neutralizing antibodies) to factor IX, which can reduce effectiveness. Monitor for hypersensitivity reactions. Dosing is individualized based on patient weight, bleeding severity, and factor IX levels. Must be stored appropriately and used within specified timeframes after reconstitution.
