Treatment of necrotic tissue in chronic wounds including diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, venous stasis ulcers, and traumatic or surgical wounds where debridement is clinically indicated.

Collagenase is an enzyme derived from Clostridium histolyticum that selectively digests collagen in necrotic tissue. It breaks down the collagen fibers anchoring dead tissue to the wound bed, allowing for gentle removal of devitalized material while preserving healthy granulation tissue.

For topical use only; avoid contact with eyes. Should not be used on wounds with dry eschar or heavy infection. Wound should be kept moist during treatment. Metal ions, certain antiseptics, and acidic pH may reduce enzyme activity. Monitor for signs of infection during treatment.
