Treatment of external genital warts (condylomata acuminata) caused by human papillomavirus (HPV). Specifically indicated for warts on the penis, vulva, or perianal area in immunocompetent patients.

Contains podofilox (podophyllotoxin), a plant-derived antimitotic agent that inhibits cell division by binding to tubulin and preventing microtubule assembly. This causes necrosis of the wart tissue.

For external use only—do not apply to mucous membranes or internal warts. Avoid contact with healthy skin. Common side effects include local irritation, burning, and pain at the application site. Should not be used during pregnancy. Treatment cycles are typically limited to 4-6 weeks. Patients should wash hands thoroughly after application and avoid sexual contact immediately after applying.
