Currently under investigation for the treatment of advanced or metastatic cancers expressing PD-L1, including cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma and potentially other solid tumors.
Cosibelimab-Ipdl is a monoclonal antibody that binds to PD-L1 on tumor cells and immune cells, blocking its interaction with PD-1 and B7.1 receptors. This removes the inhibitory signal on T cells, allowing the immune system to better recognize and attack cancer cells.
This is an investigational agent not yet approved by major regulatory agencies. Common side effects may include fatigue, rash, and immune-related adverse events. Clinical trial participation may be required for access. Healthcare providers should monitor for immune-mediated toxicity.
