Under investigation for multiple solid tumor types, with primary focus on advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and hormone receptor-positive/HER2-negative breast cancer. Clinical trials are ongoing for other TROP2-expressing malignancies.

As a TROP2-directed ADC, it binds to TROP2 on cancer cell surfaces, undergoes internalization, and releases the deruxtecan payload inside the cell. Deruxtecan is a topoisomerase I inhibitor that causes DNA damage and induces cell death.

This is an investigational agent not yet FDA-approved. Common adverse effects include nausea, fatigue, and alopecia. Monitor for interstitial lung disease and severe neutropenia. Requires careful patient selection based on TROP2 expression testing.
