Treatment of bacterial vaginosis, vaginal candidiasis, mixed vaginal infections, mouth infections (such as gingivitis and mouth ulcers), and wound disinfection. Available as vaginal tablets, mouthwash, lozenges, and topical solutions.

As a cationic surfactant and quaternary ammonium compound, dequalinium exerts antimicrobial activity by disrupting the integrity of bacterial and fungal cell membranes, leading to cell death. It is effective against a broad spectrum of gram-positive bacteria, some gram-negative bacteria, and fungi.

For topical and vaginal use only; do not swallow vaginal tablets. May cause local irritation or allergic reactions. Contraindicated in individuals with known hypersensitivity to quaternary ammonium compounds. Avoid contact with eyes. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult a healthcare provider before use. Effectiveness may be reduced if used with soaps or anionic surfactants.
