Conjugated Estrogens and Bazedoxifene
Duavee is a prescription medication combining conjugated estrogens with bazedoxifene, a selective estrogen receptor modulator. It is primarily used to treat moderate to severe vasomotor symptoms (such as hot flashes and night sweats) in postmenopausal women, and also helps prevent postmenopausal osteoporosis. This combination provides hormone replacement therapy while bazedoxifene helps protect the uterus, eliminating the need for separate progestin therapy in women with a uterus.

Treatment of moderate to severe vasomotor symptoms (hot flashes, night sweats) associated with menopause, and prevention of postmenopausal osteoporosis in women at risk who cannot use other osteoporosis medications.
Contains conjugated estrogens that replace declining female hormones during menopause, combined with bazedoxifene (a SERM) that acts as an estrogen antagonist in the uterus and breast tissue while allowing estrogen's beneficial effects on bone and vasomotor symptoms.
Not indicated for women who are pregnant or may become pregnant. Should not be used in women with undiagnosed genital bleeding, known or suspected breast cancer, or known thromboembolic disorders. Like other estrogen therapies, carries risks of stroke, blood clots, and gallbladder disease. Not approved for heart disease prevention or dementia prevention.
