Efbemalenograstim Alfa
Efbemalenograstim alfa is a long-acting colony-stimulating factor (CSF) that stimulates bone marrow to produce more white blood cells, particularly neutrophils. It is primarily used to reduce the risk of infections in patients with non-myeloid malignancies receiving chemotherapy and may also be used for severe chronic neutropenia.
A white blood cell booster that helps prevent infections in cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy by stimulating neutrophil production.

Mechanism of action
Pharmacological mechanism
Reduces the incidence of infection in patients with non-myeloid malignancies receiving myelosuppressive chemotherapy, and may be used for severe chronic neutropenia to increase neutrophil counts.
Acts as a colony-stimulating factor by binding to specific cell surface receptors on hematopoietic cells, stimulating proliferation, differentiation, commitment, and functional activation of neutrophils.
Administered as a subcutaneous injection. Common side effects include bone pain. Requires regular blood monitoring. Should not be used in patients with known hypersensitivity to the drug or its components. Potential risks include splenic rupture and acute respiratory distress syndrome.
