Fesoterodine
Fesoterodine is an antimuscarinic medication used to treat overactive bladder (OAB), a condition characterized by a sudden urge to urinate, frequent urination, and involuntary urine leakage (urge incontinence). It works by relaxing the bladder muscle, reducing unwanted contractions, and increasing bladder capacity to help control urination.

Common uses
Treatment of urge urinary incontinence, urgency, and frequency
Treatment of overactive bladder (OAB) with symptoms including urinary urgency, increased frequency of urination, and urge incontinence (involuntary leakage associated with a strong urge to urinate).
Fesoterodine is a prodrug that is metabolized in the body to its active form, 5-hydroxymethyl tolterodine. It works by blocking muscarinic (M3) receptors in the smooth muscle of the bladder detrusor, inhibiting involuntary contractions and increasing bladder capacity.
Common side effects include dry mouth, constipation, and blurred vision. It should be used with caution in patients with urinary retention, gastric retention, or uncontrolled narrow-angle glaucoma. Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Should be swallowed whole (extended-release formulation) and may interact with other anticholinergic medications.
