Gadofosveset Trisodium
Gadofosveset trisodium is a gadolinium-based blood pool contrast agent designed for magnetic resonance angiography (MRA). It binds to serum albumin, which prolongs its vascular residence time, allowing for extended imaging windows of the vascular system. This medication is primarily used to visualize blood vessels in patients with known or suspected peripheral arterial disease.
A long-acting gadolinium contrast agent for vascular MRI imaging in patients needing evaluation of blood vessel abnormalities.

Peripheral magnetic resonance angiography to evaluate aortoiliac occlusive disease and peripheral arterial disease in adult patients with known or suspected vascular disease.
As an albumin-binding gadolinium chelate, gadofosveset remains in the intravascular space longer than conventional gadolinium agents. This extended blood pool half-life enables high-resolution steady-state vascular imaging and first-pass angiography.
Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to gadolinium agents. Not recommended in patients with acute kidney injury or chronic severe renal impairment due to risk of nephrogenic systemic fibrosis. Use with caution in patients with epilepsy or predisposition to nephrotoxicity. Adequate hydration is recommended before and after administration.
