Nutritional support for patients with hepatic encephalopathy, liver failure, or other conditions requiring parenteral amino acid supplementation when oral or enteral nutrition is inadequate or impossible.
Provides a balanced mixture of essential and non-essential amino acids formulated to support protein synthesis and meet the specific metabolic needs of patients with hepatic dysfunction. The formulation is designed to minimize the metabolic burden on the liver while supporting hepatic encephalopathy treatment.
For intravenous use only via central venous catheter due to high osmolarity. Should be administered with appropriate calories (dextrose and/or lipid solutions) to prevent utilization of amino acids for energy. Monitor liver function tests, nitrogen balance, serum electrolytes, and blood glucose during therapy. Use caution in patients with renal impairment. Must be used under close medical supervision as part of a complete nutritional support program.
