Treatment of moderate to moderately severe pain in adults and children (typically age 2 and older). Used when around-the-clock pain relief is needed for an extended period.

Hydrocodone binds to opioid receptors in the brain and spinal cord, reducing pain perception and the emotional response to pain. Acetaminophen works through a different mechanism (believed to involve COX enzyme inhibition and endocannabinoid system modulation) to enhance pain relief and reduce fever.

Contains an opioid and carries risks of dependence, addiction, misuse, abuse, and life-threatening respiratory depression. High doses or prolonged use of the acetaminophen component can cause severe liver damage. Should not be combined with alcohol, sedatives, or other CNS depressants. Use during pregnancy may cause neonatal opioid withdrawal syndrome. Always take exactly as prescribed.
