Treatment of myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) in adult patients, including previously treated and untreated de novo and secondary MDS with various FAB subtypes (RA, RARS, RAEB, RAEB-t, and CMML).

Decitabine is a hypomethylating agent that inhibits DNA methyltransferase, leading to DNA hypomethylation and altered gene expression in abnormal blood-forming cells. Cedazuridine inhibits cytidine deaminase (CDA), preventing the breakdown of decitabine and enabling effective oral bioavailability.

Inqovi is typically taken once daily for 5 consecutive days per 28-day cycle. Common side effects may include fatigue, constipation, bleeding, and low blood cell counts. Patients should be monitored for myelosuppression and signs of infection. Available only by prescription.
