Interceptor Plus is indicated for the prevention of heartworm disease caused by Dirofilaria immitis and for the treatment and control of adult roundworms, adult hookworms, adult whipworms, and adult tapeworms in dogs and cats.

Interceptor Plus contains two active ingredients: milbemycin oxime, which works by disrupting the nervous system of parasites to eliminate heartworm larvae and intestinal worms, and praziquantel, which causes paralysis and death of tapeworms by damaging their skin.

This medication requires a veterinary prescription. Pets must be tested for existing heartworm infection before starting treatment. Side effects may include vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, or decreased appetite. Not for use in puppies under 6 weeks of age or cats under 8 weeks of age. Always consult your veterinarian for proper dosing based on your pet's weight.
