Prevents heartworm disease caused by Dirofilaria immitis and treats/controls roundworms and hookworms in dogs.

Iverectin works by activating glutamate-gated chloride channels in parasite nervous systems, causing paralysis and death. Pyrantel pamoate acts as a depolarizing neuromuscular blocking agent against intestinal roundworms and hookworms.

Must be prescribed by a veterinarian after heartworm testing is confirmed negative. Some dog breeds with MDR1 gene mutations may be more sensitive to ivermectin. Should be given monthly year-round for optimal protection. Does not protect against tapeworms or other external parasites.
