Kopertox is used to treat superficial fungal infections of the skin including tinea pedis (athlete's foot), tinea corporis (ringworm), tinea cruris (jock itch), and other dermatophyte infections. It may also be used for certain nail fungal infections and pityriasis versicolor.
Kopertox contains copper compounds, typically copper sulfate, which have antifungal properties. Copper interferes with fungal cell function and inhibits the growth of dermatophytes and other fungi on the skin surface.
Kopertox is for external use only and should not be ingested or applied to open wounds. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Some individuals may experience skin irritation or allergic reactions. Consult a healthcare provider before use if pregnant or breastfeeding. Complete the full course of treatment as prescribed to prevent recurrence.
