Lenvatinib is indicated for the treatment of patients with locally recurrent or metastatic, progressive, radioactive iodine-refractory differentiated thyroid cancer; advanced renal cell carcinoma in combination with everolimus; unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma; and advanced endometrial carcinoma that is not MSI-H or dMMR.

Lenvatinib inhibits the kinase activities of vascular endothelial growth factor receptors VEGFR1 (FLT1), VEGFR2 (KDR), and VEGFR3 (FLT4), as well as other kinases implicated in pathogenic angiogenesis, tumor growth, and cancer progression.

Lenvatinib carries warnings for serious adverse events including hypertension, cardiac failure, hemorrhage, arterial thromboembolism, hepatotoxicity, renal failure, gastrointestinal perforation, and QT prolongation. Regular monitoring of blood pressure, cardiac function, liver function, and thyroid function is essential during treatment.
