Livdelzi is indicated for the treatment of primary biliary cholangitis (PBC) in combination with ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA) for adults with inadequate response to UDCA alone, or as monotherapy for those who cannot tolerate UDCA.

Livdelzi is a peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor delta (PPAR-delta) agonist. It works by activating PPAR-delta receptors, which helps reduce alkaline phosphatase (ALP) levels and may have anti-inflammatory effects in the liver.

Livdelzi is not recommended for patients with decompensated cirrhosis. Common side effects may include itching, headache, and abdominal pain. Patients should be monitored for liver function during treatment. This medication should only be prescribed by healthcare providers experienced in managing PBC.
