Treats respiratory tract infections (bronchitis, pneumonia), otitis media (ear infections), sinusitis, skin and soft tissue infections, and urinary tract infections caused by susceptible bacteria.

As a beta-lactam antibiotic, Loracarbef inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis by binding to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), ultimately leading to bacterial cell death.

Patients with penicillin allergies may have cross-reactivity. Common side effects include diarrhea, nausea, and headache. Should be used only for bacterial infections as it will not work for viral conditions. Complete the full course as prescribed.
