Metastatic HER2-positive breast cancer in adults who have received at least two prior anti-HER2 regimens, with at least one used for metastatic disease. Used in combination with chemotherapy.
Margenza is a Fc-engineered monoclonal antibody that binds to the HER2 protein on cancer cells, inhibiting tumor cell proliferation and mediating antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC). The modified Fc region is designed to enhance immune effector function.
Administered as an intravenous infusion every 3 weeks. Requires cardiac monitoring due to risk of left ventricular dysfunction. Infusion-related reactions may occur. Not interchangeable with other HER2-targeted therapies. Should only be used by healthcare providers experienced in cancer treatment.
