Mirdametinib
Mirdametinib is a targeted antineoplastic agent that inhibits MEK1/2 kinases, which are key regulators of the MAPK/ERK signaling pathway involved in cancer cell growth and proliferation. This medication is used for the treatment of certain cancers driven by dysregulation of this molecular pathway.
Mirdametinib is a MEK inhibitor used to treat cancers with overactive MAPK/ERK signaling.

Mirdametinib is indicated for the treatment of solid tumors and hematologic malignancies associated with dysregulated MAPK pathway activity, including tumors with MEK mutations or alterations.
As a selective MEK1/2 inhibitor, mirdametinib blocks the enzymatic activity of MEK proteins, preventing phosphorylation of downstream effectors in the ERK pathway. This disruption inhibits tumor cell proliferation, survival, and metastatic potential.
Common adverse effects may include dermatologic reactions, visual disturbances, and gastrointestinal symptoms. Cardiac monitoring and regular assessment of liver function are recommended during treatment. Drug interactions with CYP substrates should be evaluated.
