Monoclate is indicated for the treatment and prevention of bleeding in patients with hemophilia A (congenital factor VIII deficiency). It may be used for on-demand treatment of bleeding episodes, routine prophylaxis to prevent bleeding, and perioperative management in patients undergoing surgery or dental procedures.

Monoclate contains recombinant human coagulation factor VIII (anti-hemophilic factor), which replaces the deficient or defective factor VIII in patients with hemophilia A. Factor VIII is essential for the intrinsic pathway of blood coagulation, enabling the formation of a stable fibrin clot to stop bleeding.

Monoclate should only be administered under the supervision of a qualified healthcare professional experienced in the management of hemophilia. Patients should be monitored for the development of factor VIII inhibitors, which can reduce treatment effectiveness. This product is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any component of the formulation. Individual dosing is based on patient weight, factor VIII levels, and the severity of bleeding.
