Naratriptan
Naratriptan is a triptan medication used to treat acute migraine attacks with or without aura in adults. It works by binding to serotonin (5-HT1B/1D) receptors in the brain, causing vasoconstriction of dilated cranial blood vessels and inhibiting pain-signaling neuropeptides. This medication is specifically designed for the acute treatment of migraines, not for prevention or regular daily use.
Naratriptan is a prescription migraine medication that relieves acute migraine headaches by targeting serotonin receptors and constricting dilated brain blood vessels.

Acute treatment of migraine attacks with or without aura in adults. It is used to relieve headache, pain, and other migraine symptoms when taken at the onset of an attack.
Naratriptan binds with high affinity to human 5-HT1B and 5-HT1D receptors. This action causes vasoconstriction of dilated cranial blood vessels (which are widened during migraines) and inhibits the release of pain-promoting neuropeptides like substance P and calcitonin gene-related peptide from trigeminal nerve endings.
Should be taken as early as possible during a migraine attack for best results. Not intended for migraine prevention or daily use. Contraindicated in patients with cardiovascular disease, uncontrolled hypertension, stroke history, or peripheral vascular disease. May cause drowsiness; use caution when driving or operating machinery.
