Used to improve glycemic control in adults and children with type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Novolin N is an isophane insulin suspension that mimics the body's natural insulin response. It works by allowing glucose to enter cells and suppressing glucose production in the liver, with an onset of approximately 1.5 hours and duration of up to 24 hours.
Should be administered subcutaneously within 30 minutes before a meal. Blood glucose monitoring is essential during treatment. Hypoglycemia is a potential side effect. Do not use if solution appears cloudy or contains particles. Healthcare provider guidance is required for proper dosing and administration timing.
