Omidria is indicated for maintaining mydriasis (pupil dilation) during cataract surgery and intraocular lens replacement, as well as reducing postoperative ocular pain and inflammation associated with these procedures in adults.

Omidria combines two active ingredients: phenylephrine, an alpha-adrenergic agonist that stimulates pupil dilation, and ketorolac, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that reduces inflammation and pain by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis. The solution is instilled directly into the anterior chamber during surgery.

Omidria is for intraoperative use only and should not be administered preoperatively or postoperatively. It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any components or other NSAIDs. Common adverse reactions may include anterior chamber inflammation, increased intraocular pressure, and ocular discomfort. Healthcare providers should monitor patients appropriately during and after surgical procedures.
