Treats symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome including abdominal pain, cramping, bloating, and excessive gas. Also used for functional dyspepsia and non-specific digestive discomfort.

The active component, menthol, acts as a calcium channel blocker and directly relaxes smooth muscle in the GI tract, reducing intestinal spasms and facilitating the passage of gas.

Enteric-coated products help prevent heartburn by allowing release in the intestines. May cause heartburn, nausea, or allergic reactions in some patients. Should be avoided in patients with gallbladder disease, severe liver disease, or hiatal hernia. Not recommended for children. Consult a healthcare provider before use if pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking other medications.
