Phenadoz is used to treat allergic reactions, allergic rhinitis, allergic skin conditions, nausea and vomiting (including post-operative and motion-induced), and as a pre-operative sedative. It may also be used for the symptomatic relief of upper respiratory allergies.

Phenadoz contains promethazine, a first-generation antihistamine that blocks H1 histamine receptors. It also has antiemetic properties and demonstrates sedative effects through central nervous system depression.

Phenadoz may cause drowsiness and should not be used in children under 2 years old due to the risk of respiratory depression. It can interact with other CNS depressants, including alcohol. Use with caution in patients with respiratory conditions, glaucoma, or urinary retention. This is a prescription medication that should only be used under medical supervision.
