Treats conditions involving smooth muscle spasms including irritable bowel syndrome, peptic ulcers, biliary colic, urinary frequency and urgency, and夜尿 (nocturia). May also be used for certain respiratory conditions with excessive secretions.

Combines anticholinergic properties (reducing smooth muscle contractions and secretions) with barbiturate effects (providing sedation and anxiolysis). This dual mechanism addresses both the physical spasms and associated anxiety/discomfort.

May cause drowsiness, dry mouth, blurred vision, and constipation. Use with caution in patients with glaucoma, urinary retention, or myasthenia gravis. Avoid alcohol and operate machinery until aware of effects. May interact with other anticholinergics, CNS depressants, and certain antidepressants. Full effect may take several days of regular use.
