Treatment of acute uncomplicated malaria caused by Plasmodium falciparum and Plasmodium vivax parasites in adults and children weighing above specified thresholds. It is not indicated for severe malaria or malaria prophylaxis.

The combination combines two antimalarial agents: artesunate, a fast-acting artemisinin derivative that rapidly reduces parasite burden, and pyronaridine, which works against the blood stages of the malaria parasite. Together they provide complementary mechanisms to clear malaria infection.

Should not be used in patients with severe hepatic impairment or known renal impairment. Safety in pregnancy has not been fully established and should be used only if potential benefit justifies risk. Liver function monitoring may be considered during treatment. Not suitable for severe malaria or cerebral malaria.
