Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) in adults and children; treatment of heart failure; improvement of survival following myocardial infarction (heart attack); treatment of asymptomatic left ventricular dysfunction.

As an ACE inhibitor, Qbrelis blocks the angiotensin-converting enzyme, preventing the formation of angiotensin II—a hormone that causes blood vessels to narrow. This results in vasodilation (widening of blood vessels), reduced blood pressure, and decreased workload on the heart.

Contraindicated during pregnancy (may cause fetal harm, especially in 2nd and 3rd trimesters). Can cause angioedema (swelling), dry cough, and elevated potassium levels. May interact with other blood pressure medications, potassium supplements, and NSAIDs. Requires regular blood pressure and kidney function monitoring.
